Ivory Onyx is a natural stone which is light yellow patterned in color. Onyx is a calcareous stone, formed by dissolving limestone and redeposited as a new kind of stone. In caves, drip water forms onyx as stalactites and stalagmites.

Ivory onyx is an opaque to translucent stone that ranges from light brown to black with white veining and sometimes pink or reddish-brown mottling. The color is most often a grayish white with lighter gray veining, though it can also be a dark gray or even black. Onyx can have a number of different patterns and colors—some have stripes or concentric circles; others have lines or bands running through them; still others have concentric bands within them—but most of these are rarer than the more common ones.

This stone’s hardness is 8 out of 10 on Mohs scale (the hardest).

If you are looking for a natural stone that is light in color and light yellow patterned in color, then you might want to consider using ivory onyx.

It has a hardness of 7-8 Mohs (Mohs scale measures scratch resistance), which means it will scratch easily but not easily break into pieces.
