Calacatta Gold is a natural stone which is white irregular gray patterned in color and is organic.
The mining process involves wetting the stone with water, then laying it on a stone table where it absorbs the moisture and becomes porous.
Pallets are then used to press down on the wet stone to dry it out completely. The result is a natural, porous, and irregularly shaped limestone block that can be shaped into any form desired.
It is a type of marble which has a very smooth and glossy surface.
The stone has been used for centuries by many countries around the world. This stone is one of the most popular stones used for flooring and countertops in bathrooms and kitchens. The name comes from the Italian word ‘calacata’ meaning “broken” or “cracked” which refers to the way this stone breaks when it is cut into smaller pieces.
It has been highly revered throughout history because of its natural beauty and durability. It has been used in many homes throughout history as both a decorative element as well as an architectural element on buildings such as churches, castles, and palaces.
