Description

Located in the Bahia region of Brazil, Azul Bahia or Blue Bahia displays bands of blue and white. Its color varies from a light blue to dark blue, with occasional patches of white and black shades. Its unique combination is what makes this slab so enticing and popular. The stone is also known for its toughness and resistance to scratches, corrosion, abrasion, and impact. The blue coloration is due to the presence of ferric chloride, which occurs naturally in the local soil. The white banding is caused by calcium carbonate, which occurs naturally in the surrounding soil. This allows for a unique look and feel to this quartzite countertop!
